Shannon Eastin was the first female to work as an NFL official in 2012.

Her story is one that needs to be heard as she has lived a life of true inspiration. Whereas she has faced challenges and diversity, hers is a story of an overcomer. Using a few words to describe Shannon, she has exhibited herself as a woman of character, decency, compassion, and goodness. She is a life example that can encourage children, inspire women and capture the interest of men.

Shannon accomplished something that no woman had ever done. The fact that the “something” was within the ranks of the National Football League broadens the interest of her story to a wide audience.

Obstacles don’t have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don’t turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it.
